Aspen was Zoie’s first college friend. They cheered together for 3 years at the University of Minnesota & competed at Nationals in Florida on the co-ed cheer team. After a few years out of college, Zoie started working with Aspen and they have been business partners and work together daily to empower women and continue to grow their business.

MEGHAN RHOERICH
Meghan & Zoie work together with Aspen for Modern Nature. They are complete opposites but balance each other out perfectly. Meghan pushes Zoie out of her shell to have a more outgoing personality & just go for things, so “Grandma Zo” isn’t in full force all of the time.

NICOLE THOMAS
Nicole has been one of Zoie’s closest friends since middle school. From their rebellious years to Nicole moving away and becoming long distance friends, they can always pick up right where they left off. Nicole & her fiancé came on the trip to Kauai for Ben & Zoie’s engagement, and Zoie is also standing up in Nicole’s wedding in June of 2021.

HALEY HOFER
Haley & Zoie grew up just blocks from each other, spent every lunch together, and found themselves always up to something. Haley and Zoie remained really close throughout college despite their distance, and have continued to be rocks for each other through everything life has thrown at them. Haley is a dental assistant in Zoie’s hometown and a wife and mother to a beautiful child.

LINDSEY PALMER
Lindsey is Zoie’s sister in law, married to Zoie’s brother Chaz. They have had many camping adventures together with Chaz & Ben. The four of them adventuring is a guaranteed good time. From the bridge jumping & horseback riding in Montana to adventuring & experiencing both of their engagements together. Lindsey very easily became a sister that Zoie never had.

Hannah is Ben’s Sister & quite literally the sweetest human being you will ever meet. She is a musician in WI and came to Kauai for the engagement, and has always been one of Ben & Zoie’s biggest cheerleaders.

Nanxi is one of Ben’s closest entrepreneur friends from CA & have known each other for over 8 years. When Ben met Zoie, she knew that she was the one for him & has always been a consistent and uplifting friend to have around through Ben & Zoie’s relationship.

ANGEL VANDENWYMELENBERG
Angel & Zoie spend every single day together running around the house and playing outside. Angel was the first friend of Bens that Zoie met, she kept all of Zoie’s secrets about how much Zoie liked him. Sometimes Ben thinks he is the third wheel in the family. Angel is quite literally Zoie’s furry best friend.

JACOB RICHMANN
Jake is Ben’s trusted right hand man and President at WOODCHUCK. Jake and Ben have almost identical personalities but a few years older than Ben. Jake is an incredible man of God and has a wife and two kids. He has started his own companies, and is an incredible leader. The two of them enjoy traveling, passionately loud conversations (arguing), and growing the business together.

ADAM VANDENWYMELENBERG
Adam (AKA Hooper) is Ben’s brother and lifelong fighting, wrestling, and drinking buddy. Ben looks up to Adam and his love of Art and drawing, playing the piano, and four wheeling. Although there were countless times they chased each other through the hay field to beat each other up, they will always be there for each other.

BRANDON MUELLER
Brandon and Ben grew up wrestling together throughout grade school. After college, they’ve traveled throughout multiple different countries across the world, free diving, rock climbing, surfing and skydiving. Brandon is a high performer and the two of them are constantly pushing each other on mental and physical toughness. They always say “spotty judgement, brute determination, we’ll see you on the other side” before adventuring. So be careful before you adventure with them...

MATTHEW ATKINSON
Matt and Ben met through a mutual lawyer years ago, and become inseparable from the first weekend of wake surfing in Cross Lake. Ben and Matt travel together, talk business, and now have cabins ½ mile away from each other on Cross Lake.

CHARLIE DEMSKE
Charlie and Ben are lifelong friends and grew up together causing trouble, building models, fixing things, and night golfing (after a few beverages). No matter how many months they don't see each other, they always pick up right where they left off.

KYLE MCDERMAND
Kyle and Ben were college co-ed cheerleading teammates, workout buddies, and have adventured throughout Bali and Australia together, diving and climbing. They recently climbed Capitol Peak in Colorado, and enjoy snowmobiling, bobcatting, and building things such as 200’ slip-n-slides for the annual “America Olympics” at Ben & Zoie’s cabin in Cushing, MN.

MIKE BRICE
Mike and Ben connected after college at their cousin’s wedding, and Mike came to live in MN with Ben. They've had countless adventures from high school, and now Mike runs Legal and Operations for WOODCHUCK. Ben and Mike were meant to connect at that wedding, as both of them were going through turbulent times in their life, and both of them were there for each other throughout that very crazy time. Whether it meant just needing someone to talk with, getting a drink, or needing to go on a run, Mike and Ben were always there for each other.

JOSHUA NEUMANN
Josh is also a business owner in the Twin Cities. Ben and Josh work out out daily (pre-Covid) together, and during Covid were able to work together to produce PPE. Josh and Ben have great and deep philosophical conversations about life, purpose, God and the future.

SCOTT BEACHER
Scott was both a teammate and team Captain to Ben on the co-ed cheer team during college, and a coach to Zoie when she was on the cheer team a few years later. Scotty and Ben got into countless shenanigans throughout college and he was always the voice of reason, which likely kept Ben from not dying multiple times.

CHAZ PALMER
Chaz is Zoie’s only sibling. Chaz and his wife Lindsey have traveled to Montana with Ben and Zoie and enjoy camping and adventuring together. They've flipped bikes down a mountain in Montana (and did not die) and were both there for each other’s engagements.

KEVIN GROENJES
Kevin and Ben went to college together and was his original partner in starting WOODCHUCK. When Ben first started the company, he and Kevin went door to door selling phone stickers across the entire state of MN until they finally got the product into big box stores.

Ezra is Ben’s God Son, and the Son of his Brother Adam VandenWymelenberg. He loves tractors, playing outside and riding his jeep. He may likely be the cutest ring bearer to walk this earth.
